Privacy policy

When you browse the site

We don't collect anything that identifies you. The site runs no analytics or ad trackers, embeds nothing from social media, and sets no cookies of its own. Fonts, photos and videos load from our own site, not from Google or any other outside service. The Instagram, Facebook and YouTube icons are plain links. Nothing loads from those sites until you click one.

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs for each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. Vercel uses these logs to run and protect the site. We don't use them to track you. Vercel's privacy policy is at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

When you give a gift

Card gifts go through Stripe Checkout. When you press the donate button, our site sends Stripe two things: the amount and whether the gift is one-time or monthly. You then move to a payment page that Stripe runs. You type your card details and email address there, not on our site. Card numbers never reach us and we never store them.

After your gift, our Stripe account shows us your name, email address, the amount and date, whether the gift is monthly, your card brand and its last four digits, and your billing country and postal code if Stripe asked for them. Stripe emails you the receipt.

Stripe handles your payment details under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. On the payment page Stripe may offer to save your details with Link, its own saved-payment service. That choice is between you and Stripe.

How we use your information

We use it to take your gift, run your monthly gift if you chose one, answer your questions, and handle refunds and cancellations. We also keep gift records for our accounts and for the law.

We don't post donor names online and we don't share them with anyone outside the services listed below. We don't sell, rent or trade your information. Giving a gift does not sign you up for any mailing list. We only email you to reply to you or about your gift.

Who else sees it

Only the services we need to run the site and take gifts:

• Stripe processes payments and sends receipts.
• Vercel hosts the site.
• Google runs our email, so Gmail stores the messages you send to rrangerscorp@gmail.com.
• WhatsApp, which Meta owns, carries any messages you send us there.

We will also share information if the law makes us, for example because of a court order.

The newsletter form

The newsletter signup on this site is not connected to any email service yet. An address typed there today is not sent or saved anywhere. Before we connect a service, we will name it on this page.

How long we keep it

We keep gift records (name, email, amount, date) for as long as our bookkeeping and US law require. Emails you send us stay in our inbox until we delete them. Stripe keeps its payment records under its privacy policy.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email rrangerscorp@gmail.com from the address you used. We will delete everything we are not required by law to keep.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Visitors outside the US

Rescue Rangers is a US organization. Stripe, Vercel and Google may store your information in the United States or other countries.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If we ever add analytics, cookies or a newsletter service, we will say so here first.
